My Dream CAR

MY DREAM CAR

Owning a car is every man’s dream, and sure enough it was my dream too. I always dreamt of having a set of wheels in which I could cruise down long highways with my family. A family car is what I wanted, one that provides luxury, comfort and safety.

My hut for my dream car began almost a year back. I had thoroughly enjoyed the joy of riding my bike and wanted to graduate to something with four wheels on it. I was contemplating between two obvious options, whether to buy a new car or settle for a used one to begin with. This apart, I still hadn’t zeroed in on the brand that I wanted to buy.

After a long research and re-research and numerous test drives, I narrowed my brand selection to just two; Maruti Suzuki Wagon R or Hyundai Santro. Both suited my style and most importantly my budget. I again went in into an intense research mode for these two brands. I compared their fuel economy, running cost, safety features, styling, comfort, wheel base clearance, top speed, horsepower and almost every bit of information I could get to make my decision.

Mileage was an important criterion which would help me make my decision because my home town is in Karnataka which is more that 400 kms. from Maharashtra. And if I decide to make that trip on my newly acquired set of wheels, then I will need to have a car that goes easy on my wallet. Another important aspect that I considered was the availability of authorized service centers for both these make.

While make this in-depth research I finally found that Maruti Suzuki’s Wagon R was best for me. It gave me a great mileage, great comfort for five people to go on long drives, considering there are no heavy weights in my family, thanks to AMWAY! Wagon R had some fantastic safety features which were comparable to many European cars on the road today and speaking of service centers, I think Maruti Suzuki has the widest network of authorized service stations all over the country. I could even locate them in some of the remotest places.

So it was all decided. I wanted a Wagon R. I called my brother and announced to him my plans of buying a Wagon R and surprisingly even he had done some research at his end and had zeroed in on a Wagon R! Coincidence or what!!?? Next day my brother and I went and booked a brand new Wagon R Duo. What color you ask? RED of course! That’s my mom’s favorite color. The Wagon R Duo gave me an option of an alternative fuel, LPG which is safe and economical. So now I have a car that can run on Petrol as well as LPG (Liquid Petroleum Gas), which takes care of the mileage.

Today when I drive to work in my new car I feel on top of the world. Though it is a small car, it has changed my life in a big way. We are a small family of four and can comfortably go for long drives and also for shopping along the busy city streets, that’s an advantage I find with this small car of mine. I am sure millions of Indians out there have chosen Wagon R as their dream car for this very reason.
