The “C” Vehicles Location Guide for Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas

Cabbie

This is an older-style taxi cab, like the Checker Marathon cabs. Seats four.
Speed and handling:The Cabbie isn’t as fast and doesn’t handle as well as the newer-model Taxi, but it’s not too bad. Just be prepared for a bumpy ride as the suspension is great here and the car will bounce around a lot.
Locations:Wow, where aren’t these things located? Seriously, you should be able to find a Cabbie in any city at just about any time. But you won’t find them much out in the country except maybe sometimes on a highway.

Caddy

The Caddy is a golf cart. So, yep, it looks like a golf cart. Can be a little fun to try out, but probably not a vehicle you want to drive often.
Speed and handling:As can be expected, the Caddy is pretty slow. And you can drive this vehicle mostly with ease unless you’e trying to take sharp turns because the Caddy tends to overshoot your turns.
Locations:The golf club in northern Las Venturas. Around the Country Club and tennis courts in San Fierro. I think I’ve spotted one around the country club in Los Santos, but that was only once and I might have been mistaken.

Cadrona

This is the Grand Theft Auto version of the Chevrolet Cavalier from the early 1990s.
Speed and handling: You can’t get much more average than this vehicle. Average speed. Average handling. Average durability.
Locations:All over the place. Literally, the Cadrona can spawn just about anywhere there are roads in San Andreas.

Camper

The Camper looks like a Volkswagon van, and it’s the only vehicle in San Andreas that can carry only three people. All other vehicles carry either two or four people. To see and/or get a special hippy version of the Camper, called the Mothership by The Truth in the game, do the mission “Are You Going to San Fierro?” and fail the mission intentionally by storing the Mothership in a garage.
Speed and handling: Very, very slow. Perhaps the slowest acceleration and top speed for all on-road vehicles in the game, though there are a few other vehicles for off-road (the Mower, for example) that are worse. The handling isn’t great, either, but at such slow speeds it’s not like you’re going to be taking sharp curves in a flash.
Locations:I often see the Camper rolling around the Hashbury region in San Fierro, and there’s always one parked atop Mt. Chiliad. I’ve seen a Camper a few other times in other places, usually in a city, but that’s rare.

Cargobob

A big, military transport helicopter. Too bad you can’t transport anything with it except the driver and one passenger.
Speed and handling:Has very slow takeoff speed, but once you’ve been going a while the flight speed is fair. The handling, however, is not so great, probably because this helicopter is so darn big and heavy. Takes turns slowly and lifts off slowly. The good side to the Cargobob is it’s extremely durable, meaning it can take a whole bunch of damage before it will go down.
Locations:Only two. The first is at Area 69 in the desert West of Las Venturas, but you will immediately draw military fire, including missiles launched to the sky, if you try to enter the area. The second place is in Las Venturas at the military fuel depot in the northeast; you won’t get shot at while at the depot, but it is fenced in and can be difficult to get into without a jetpack or other helicopter.

Cheetah

This is a Ferrari, and it’s awesome.
Speed and handling: The Cheetah is one of my favorite vehicles in all the Grand Theft Auto games, but especially in San Andreas. It has very good speed and acceleration, though to be honest it’s not quite the fastest car there is. What makes the Cheetah such a great automobile is that along with good speed, it has quite possibly the best auto handling in all of San Andreas. Yep, you can plow along at what seems like a hundred miles an hour, hit a bump and keep right on keeping on. Just a great vehicle.
Locations:The Cheetah is known to spawn in Las Venturas along The Strip and the Old Venturas Strip, but I’ve also seen it up around the Las Venturas golf course. In Los Santos, every once in a while you’ll find a Cheetah cruising around the Rodeo district. Only on very rare occasions have I seen this vehicle in San Fierro.

Clover

This is basically an old late-60s version of an Olds Cutlass. It can always be found with two colors on the body, but you can take it to a Transfender at get the whole vehicle painted one solid color.
Speed and handling: The speed here is excellent, but the handling not so much. The Clover fishtails real easy when going around curves, and on wet grass you might as well give up.
Locations:I’ve seen the Clover just about everywhere, including out in the country. It seems most common in San Fierro, especially by the country club and in Hashbury.

Club

Don’t let the looks of the Club fool you. Yes, it’s just a Volkswagon Golf, but in the game it’s pretty quick and easy to handle.
Speed and handle:As I mentioned, the Club is good at both. It’s not the perfect vehicle by any standards, but it’s fast takeoff, ease of steering and road dependability make it worth trying out.
Locations:This is a pretty rare vehicle in San Andreas. I’ve seen it a few rare times in San Fierro up in the northeast, but I’ve probably seen it the most in Las Venturas, usually on The Strip or in Pricklepine.

Coach

This is just a long, huge bus. And it can hold up to seven people! Not that you need all of them, but just the fact a GTA vehicle can hold seven people is kind of cool.
Speed and handling: Very slow on takeoff, the Coach can get up to fair speeds on a long stretch. It handles corners like you would expect it to, slowly, and needing a lot of room. It would fishtail on you because of all the weight and size, so that’s good. The Coach can take an amazing amount of damage, which means it’s great for running over bikers and street lamps. Just if you wanted to, I mean, not that I’ve ever done anything as dastardly as that … even in a game. Wink, wink.
Locations:I’ve witnessed the Coach in the downtown districts of most cities, but most commonly it’s popped up along The Strip in Las Venturas. There is usually one parked in San Fierro across from the TV station building in Missionary Hill. The Coach is also commonly found parked at the bar in Dillimore in Red County. And I’ve often seen these big buses around airports.

Coastguard

The Coastguard is just a little cruising boat, probably meant for use by the Coastguard (uh duh!).
Speed and handling: The Coastguard has pretty good speed and takes sharp turns pretty easily, for a boat. Keep that in mind … I said “for a boat.” Yes, it takes turns easily, but not compared to a car.
Locations:Pretty much every dock near or around the airport in San Fierro has a Coastguard.

Combine Harvester

The Combine Harvester is a gigantic farming vehicle.
Speed and handling: They do come faster, and with better acceleration, but it’s not like you’re going to be using one of these to get away from the cops (at least I don’t suggest it). Actually, though, it turns fairly easily once you get used to the enormous size of the vehicle, and it is practically impossible to flip upside down, because of its size, unless you drive it off a cliff or something as drastic.
Locations: Farms, farms, farms. You’ll never run across a Combine Harvester anywhere else. But there’s a catch. These vehicles are almost always locked. So what’s the easiest way to get one? Find one that’s been driven around a farm, then shoot the driver. You can then jump in and drive off.

Comet

It’s a Porsche. You’ll like it. Just a fun little car.
Speed and handling: Though not the fastest sports car in San Andreas, it definitely has quality speed and acceleration. And it handles like a dream, making tight spins quite easily. But it still can spin out from time to time at top speeds, especially when driving in the rain. The Comet is a solid get-away vehicle on the road, but it’s not so great when hitting the backwoods or desert.
Locations:Quite often, but not always, there is a Comet parked in the parking lot of the country club in San Fierro, and sometimes you’ll see one driving around San Fierro. Otherwise, they usually only show up on roads and highways if you are driving another sports car. Your best bets to find a cruising Comet are in Las Venturas, but I’ve seen them a few times in northern San Fierro.

Cropduster

This is a cropdusting bi-plane, and you can even spray the pesticide from the back of the airplane.
Speed and handling:Not the fastest of airplanes in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, but once you get going it’s not too bad. The handling isn’t great, not quite as good as a Dodo. One good thing is you can take off very quickly with the Cropduster, so you don’t need a long air strip for taking off.
Locations: I’ve only seen a Cropduster out in the countryside. There’s usually one parked east of the stone quarry near Las Venturas. There’s also often a Cropduster parked at a Bone County airstrip and atop a hill in Flint County.
